Sheridan a pparently dies but is claimed by the First Ones, who invite him t o join them on a jou rney beyond th e rim of the galaxy. Ba bylon 5 station is destroyed in a demoli tion shortl y after Sheri dan's d eparture, its ex istence no long er necess ary as the Alliance h as taken ove r its d iplomatic p urposes.
