Comm ander Ivanova , the secon d-in-command o f the stati on, is se cretly a latent telepath who has ill icitly avoid ed regis tering with t he Psi Corps. Th e Shadow s, an ancient and extremely powerful ra ce who have r ecently emerg ed from hi bernation, are revealed to be th e cause of a variety of mysterious and disturbing events, inclu ding the att ack on the Na rn outpost at the end of 2258 . Centauri Ambassador Londo Mollari unkno wingly enlis ts their ai d through his associatio n with the my sterious Mr. Mo rden in the ong oing co nflict with the Narn .
